The Riding Writer[powerpress]
Stephanie J. Corum is a freelance writer who specializes mainly in the equine industry. The Riding Writer combines a lifetime of horse knowledge with the ability to write about and promote horses in whatever way the customer needs. Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky where her focus was on equine genetics. In 1992 Stephanie started her own freelance writing business specializing in magazine articles and promotional work in the horse industry.
Stephanie Corum has been devoted to horses ever since she first read Walter Farley’s The Black Stallion when she was a child. She started riding Shetland ponies at age 8 and moved on from there. Stephanie has competed in hunter, jumper, equitation, and eventing, but for the last 10 years she’s concentrated mainly on dressage.
Stephanie published her first children’s story, Goats With Coats. She’s had a fun time reading and speaking to groups from pre-schoolers to elementary kids, teens and adults. This has become a welcome new avenue for her. She has now published her second book, Antics In The Attic, and is always interested in coming to speak or read the story to different groups.
